SASSA Will Take Solutions to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it's alarmed in regards to the high variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area daily. The assistance position designed for intervention encounters a high inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out here programme, SASSA will mobilise much more means to empower the servicing of all buyers and improve usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
